This railway Viaduct was built around a 100 years ago and at that time was a masterpiece in engineering. It is an impressive steel structure over a deep valley. The ride is especially interesting as the train coming from Pyin Oo Lwin stops in front of the viaduct to let an oncoming southbound train pass. To put least stress on the structure, the train crawls over the viaduct in snail pace. You can look down into the deep valley from the train windows.
