Day1 Kalaw – Tar yaw – Ywa Pu
Day2 Ywa Pu – Kone Hla – Hti Thein
Day3 Hti Thein- Nan Yoke- Indein

Day 1. Kalaw – Tar yaw – Ywa Pu

Early in the morning at around 8:00, you will be picked up by the trekking guide and walk to the Palaung (one of the ethnic minorities of Myanmar) village of Tar Yaw, Ywa Thit kone (3 hrs) through the residential area of Kalaw and forest around Kalaw. Visit Tar Yaw to see the life style of the people. Picnic style lunch will be served on the way. Proceed to Ywa Pu and the surrounding villages through the forested mountain of the region (2 ½ hrs.). Traditional style dinner and overnight stay at the local family house or the monastery of the village.

Lunch and Dinner provided (prepared by your trekking guide).

Over night at village house or one of the monasteries.
Important remarks: The trekking is strenuous if one is not experienced. It is however not so much climb. The landscape is very attractive; you walk through areas that have not seen mass-tourism. We will transfer your main luggage by car to the Lake, so you need to carry light luggage for the 2 days only. Please bring warm clothes as it might be very cold during the night (minimum temperature can be 3 degrees Celsius in January, and 6-10 degrees Celsius in February but during the day it is warm with intense sun)
There is no electricity!
All meals during the tour are included. Please expect simple home cooking style, prepared by your trekking guide.


The porter(s) will be carry the bottled drinking water and provisions. Very basic overnight stay at local houses or Monasteries is available to you; only providing mats on the floor and blankets to cover yourself. There is no comfort at all. Myanmar style "bathrooms" and "toilets" can be used. No hot shower available, please bring your own towels if you have special needs, but we will provide basic towels on request. The accommodation is not even at the level of a guesthouse.

Day 2.Ywa Pu – Kone Hla – Hti Thein

After a simple breakfast start walking for the village of La Mine Kone Hla and you will enjoy to see the ways of life of Danu and Pa O people (ethnic minority of the region). Lunch will be served on the way at one of the local family house. After lunch continue walking to the village of Hti Thein and you will see the beautiful landscape of the region, working people on their vegetables fields. Dinner and overnight stay at the monastery of the village.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided (prepared by your trekking guide).
Over night at village house or one of the monasteries.




Day 3.Hti Thein- Nan Yoke- Indein

After breakfast at the monastery start walking through the hilly and forested area of the region, visit several villages on the way and finally you will reach to the village of Inntein located on the western shore of the lake where you will see the beautiful pagoda complex dating back to 18th to 20th century which are in ruins. After visiting Inntein pagoda you will be transferred to your hotel by boat.
