Day 1. Arrival in Yangon

Upon arrival in Yangon, you will be greeted by Trails of Myanmar guide and transfer to your hotel. Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, which is the colonial and spiritual heritage makes the city, one of the most fascinating and authentic capitals of Southeast Asia.
Sightseeing for the day includes many colonial style buildings, century old The Strand Hotel and the lively China town. Visit of the day also include the hexagonal shape Sule Pagoda and Chauk Htut Gyi Pagoda (70 m long reclining Buddha). You may also visit to Kandawgyi Park where you will see the Karaweik Hall (a floating barge with the mythical creature on Kandawgyi Lake) enjoy the greenery and nice silhouettes of Shwedagon Pagoda on the lake itself in the afternoon. Visit of the day will conclude with one of the most wonder of the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, where you could enjoy religious, cultural and social life of local people and enjoy the sunset there. Return back to your hotel.

Day 2. Yangon - Bagan (by early morning flight and private car and horse cart)

After early breakfast at the hotel (or take away breakfast), you will be transferred to Yangon airport for your early morning flight to Bagan which used to be a royal capital from 11th to 13th century. Start your visit of the day with Tayoke Pyay Temple site from the late 13 th Century era pagodas. Start to get the exposure of Bagan plain from the top of Tayoke Pyay Temple and enjoy the panoramic view there. Visit of the site will include Payathone Zu pagoda ( superb mural painting), Nandamanya temple (artistic and protected mural painting), Laymyetnar Temple and Dhamarazika Stupa. Continue your visit to Phwar Saw Village, enjoy strolling around in the village and observe local life there.
After lunch, visit one local workshop to observe the handmade lacquer ware and wooden handicrafts. Here take a horse cart to Manuha Temple, built in Mon style, Nanbayar Temple with a unique sand stone monument and Myinkaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple, a Temple known for its mural paintings. Enjoy the unforgettable sunset over one of the temples.

Day 3. Bagan (by private car and sunset boat)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the colorful market of Nyaung U where a variety of street vendors are selling their local goods. Start the day with visits to the local Nyaung U market where you can see several local people from the surrounding regions trading and bartering their local products such as vegetables, beans and other household utensils etc. Continue visit to pagodas such as including Shwezigone Pagoda, built in the early 11thcentury, Ku Byauk Gyi, a temple with superb mural paintings, Htilominlo temple, unique fresco works of all temples and Ananda temple with four standing Buddha Images and a huge teak door.
Afternoon visit may also include Dhammayangyi Temple, Sulamuni Temple and Pyat Thadar Temple. You may also visit to the interesting process of “Poneyay” (Pea powder paste) and see how the local plum jam is made and packed.
Then transfer to the jetty and take a local boat to enjoy the sunset along the Ayeyarwaddy River. You will also see the beautiful river scenery and life style of the local people who work and live along the banks of the river.
Return to your Hotel.

Day 4. Bagan – Mandalay

After a very early breakfast at the hotel (or take away breakfast), you will be transferred to the Nyaung Oo airport for your domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival to Mandalay, transfer to your hotel. After fresh up at the hotel, visit Mahamuni Pagoda and Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title ‘World’s Biggest Book’ Shwe Kyaung Monastery, the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace which is known for its exquisite woodcarving and Mandalay Hill for panoramic view of the ancient capital.
Enjoy sunset at Mandalay Hill and return to your hotel.

Day 5.Mandalay - Sagaing - Amarapura (by private car and sunset boat)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart to visit Amarapura (former capital) with Mahaghandayone Monastery, where thousands of monks are taking their meals.
Then cross a bridge over the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing. Visit include a pagoda covered with 600 white-painted pagodas and monasteries, Sagaing Hill is widely regarded as the religious center of Myanmar. It is home to 3,000 monks and 100 meditation centers and you will visit pagodas such as Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin, U Min Thone Sae, and Shin Pin Nan Gyaing.
We’ll also visit Sagaing’s local market, a typical Burmese market that few tourists visit. Here you will find a range of items for sale including locally made pottery, silver and other handicrafts. We will also stop at a small pottery village to see the process of making the ubiquitous water pots found throughout Myanmar.
Return toward the city and stop at Amarapura, a former capital whose name means ‘City of Immortality’. First visit a silk weaving workshop which produces exquisite handmade products. Sunset over U Bein Bridge with small boat Sampan. U Bein Bridge which is 200 year-old teak bridge was constructed of 984 teak posts that were once part of the deserted Inwa Palace and it is 1.2 kilometres in length making it the world’s longest teak span. You can also enjoy a stroll along the bridge and the fabulous views of the surrounding farms and streams.

Day 6. Mandalay - Heho - Nyaung Shwe / Inle Lake

After a very early breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Mandalay airport for your domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival, proceed to Nyaung Shwe, the main gateway to Inle Lake (30 km - 1 hour). Stop on the way to visit to the Shwe Yan Pyae Monastery.
At the afternoon excursion on the lake by private long-tail boat will include the weaving village of Inn Pawkhone and a cheroot rolling workshop as well as the famous Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. You will also see floating gardens, leg rowers, local fishing methods and village life of Inle Lake. Visit will conclude with a 150 years old wooden monastery, Nga Phae Chaung Monastery filled with beautiful Buddha images in various styles. This place was famous as jumping cats Monastery, nowadays you may see the cats jumping occasionally only.

Day 7. Inle Lake - Indein

After early breakfast or before breakfast, visit the lake’s morning 5 days market of the Inle Lake region. The market rotates its location around the lake’s villages in a 5 day rhythm and is visited by lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to sell and trade their wares. (Note: Market day is daily held except on the full moon and dark moon day).
After visiting one of the local market days, continue upstream on a small canal leading to the Pa-oh village of In Dein situated at the Western bank of Inle Lake. In Dein is a place where there are more than thousands of Shan style stupas are built on a small mountain. Explore the area on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local school, and wander through the beautiful picturesque ancient stupas and has magnificent views of the lake below from top of the mountains. After In Dein, take a canoe on downstream up till Phaung Daw Oo pagoda passing through rice fields and bamboo forest.
Return to your Hotel this evening.

Day 8. Inle Lake - Sanghar (by private boat)

After breakfast, start your private long-tail boat trip to Sanghar village. Sanghar was in the 18th century one of the larger cities in Shan State (40 km - 3 hours per way). The highlights of this site are the remote village, stupas that sometimes get flooded in the rainy season and water lilies growing in mass. Visit also include a basic local rice liquor distillery and a local pottery village. The trip leads you through very interesting landscape, the lake becomes a creek to widen to a lake again before Sanghar.
An additional, mandatory Pa-O guide will accompany you in addition to your tour guide.

Day 9. Inle Lake - Heho - Thandwe (Ngapali Beach) (by private boat, car and morning flight)

After early breakfast, you will be transferred to Nyaung Shwe by boat and by car to Heho airport for your flight to Thandwe (Ngapali Beach).
Upon your check in, your tour guide’s service ends. On arrival to Thandwe airport, transfer to your hotel on seat-in-coach basis.
Rest of the day will be free is at your leisure.

Day 13. Ngapali Beach - Thandwe - Yangon (by morning flight and private car)

After breakfast at the hotel, your hotel will transfer you to Ngapali (Thandwe) airport on seat-in-coach basis for your domestic flight back to Yangon.
Upon arrival you will be met with your guide and transfer to your hotel.
On the way from the airport, you may visit Kalaywatawya scriptural learning monastery thousand of monks and novices are studying.
You may go also to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda near the airport and see the white elephants there.
Rest of the day will be free is at your leisure or may do further sightseeing as you wish.

Day 14. Yangon - International Departure (morning / evening)

After breakfast, you may stroll around the Scott (Bogyoke) Market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores before transfer to the airport for your international flight. [Scott (Bogyoke) Market will be closed on Monday and public holidays].
