Day 1. Arrival in Yangon

Upon arrival in Yangon, you will be greeted by Trails of Myanmar guide and transfer to your hotel. Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, which is the colonial and spiritual heritage makes the city, one of the most fascinating and authentic capitals of Southeast Asia.
Sightseeing for the day includes many colonial style buildings, century old The Strand Hotel and the lively China town. Visit of the day also include the hexagonal shape Sule Pagoda and Chauk Htut Gyi Pagoda (70 m long reclining Buddha). You may also visit to Kandawgyi Park where you will see the Karaweik Hall (a floating barge with the mythical creature on Kandawgyi Lake) enjoy the greenery and nice silhouettes of Shwedagon Pagoda on the lake itself in the afternoon. Visit of the day will conclude with one of the most wonder of the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, where you could enjoy religious, cultural and social life of local people and enjoy the sunset there. Return back to your hotel.

Day 2. Yangon - Sittwe (by morning flight and private car)

After breakfast at the hotel, morning is at your leisure. Before lunch time, transfer to Yangon airport for your domestic flight to Sittwe, the capital and main port of Rakhine State. On Arrival in Sittwe transfer to your Hotel (10 minutes drive) by jeep car or light truck (no air-condition!).
Depend on arrival time you may walk along the Strand road to see local life where fishing boats come in and out.
Shooting of the day include busy Sittwe local market and sunset at Fakar point ( at the rim of Bay of Bengal) where the Sea and the River join.

Overnight stay in Sittwe.

Day 3. Sittwe to Mrauk Oo (by private local boat)

After breakfast, proceed to the river jetty to take a private boat to Mrauk Oo (around 6 hour’s boat trip or more depending on the tide) the ancient former capital of Rakhine Kingdom along the Kiccapanadi River (or Kaladan River) and enjoy river life. Lunch will provide on boat. Upon arrival to Mrauk Oo, transfer to your Hotel by Jeep car (no air-condition!).
Shoot of the day include river life along the river, Koethaung Pagoda and other stupa in Mrauk Oo in the late afternoon. Enjoy sunset over one of the hill to get panoramic view of Mrauk Oo ancient city (not too high).

Day 4. Mrauk Oo (by Jeep)

Sunrise shoot on a small mountain and return for breakfast at the hotel. Shoot of the day include the Mrauk Oo market, Dukkanthein Monastery , Yadana Pon Stupa, the remaining of walls of Mrauk Oo Capital, gateways and the Shittaung Pagoda. You will go around in Mrauk Oo with a jeep car without air-condition. Enjoy sunset at a nearby hill (not too high).

Day 5. Mrauk Oo - Chin Villages

After breakfast, transfer from the Hotel (about 10 kilometers) by jeep car to the jetty on Laymro River. Start your day trip to the Chin Villages by boat.
The water level in Laymro River might be quite low and the journey might take longer than before. Normally it takes at least 3 hours by boat for the up steam river and down stream is over 2 hours. The boats are often in bad condition, delays due to engine failures etc. can happen.
At the Chin villages you can see people wearing their traditional dresses, observe the daily life and see Chin ladies who usually tattoo their faces traditionally. In afternoon return to Mrauk Oo.

Day 6. Mrauk Oo – Sittwe

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed by jeep to the river jetty in Mrauk Oo to take a private boat to Sittwe (around 6 hours boat trip).
Upon arrival to Sittwe, transfer by non-aircon car to your hotel) Rest of the day is at your leisure in or may do further sightseeing as you wish.

Day 7. Sittwe – Yangon

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Sittwe fish-market and look around the city before your transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Yangon.

Day 8. Yangon - Bagan (by early morning flight and private car and horse cart)

After a very early breakfast at the hotel (or take away breakfast), you will be transferred to the Yangon airport for your early morning flight to Bagan.
Bagan was royal capital from 11th to 13th century. Start the day with shooting at most significant Pagodas and Temples of Bagan including Shwezigone Pagoda, built in the early 11thcentury, Ku Byauk Gyi, a temple with superb mural paintings and Ananda temple with four standing Buddha Images and a huge teak door.

Here take a horse cart to Manuha Temple, built in Mon style, Nanbayar Temple with a unique sand stone monument and Myinkaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple, a Temple known for its mural paintings however mural paintings in Bagan are not allowed to photograph. Then transfer to local jetty to take the sunset boat and enjoy the fruit cocktail at sand bank.

Day 9. Bagan (by private car)

Wake up early morning for sunrise on a temple. Return to your Hotel for breakfast, and then visit the colourful market of Nyaung U where a variety of street vendors are selling their local goods. Continue to visit and shoot at the site of Tayoke Pyay Temple and some further Temples like Paya Thonesu and Nanda Manya and laymyetnar Paya. We also going to enjoy village life at Phwar Saw Village.
Afternoon shoot of the day includes Dhammayangyi Temple, Sulamuni Temple and Pyat Thadar Temple. You may also visit to the interesting process of “Poneyay” (Pea powder paste) and see how the local plum jam is made and packed. Lunch will be serving at local restaurant.
Enjoy sunset shoot at one of the temples. Dinner for today will be provided with one of the temples in Bagan privately with traditional entertainment. Return to your Hotel in the late evening.

Day 10. Bagan – Mandalay (by morning flight and private car)

After breakfast, transfer to the Bagan airport for your domestic flight to Mandalay.
On the way visit to Amarapura, a former capital whose name means ‘City of Immortality’ with Mahaghandayone Monastery, where thousands of monks are taking their meals. Shoot of the day include Mahamuni Pagoda and Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title ‘World’s Biggest Book’ Shwe Kyaung Monastery, the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace which is known for its exquisite woodcarving and Mandalay Hill for panoramic view of the ancient capital. Sunset shoot is over U Bein Bridge with small boat Sampan. U Bein Bridge which is 200 year-old teak bridge was constructed of 984 teak posts that were once part of the deserted Inwa Palace and it is 1.2 kilometers in length making it the world’s longest teak span. You can also enjoy a stroll along the bridge and the fabulous views of the surrounding farms and streams.

Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 11. Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake

After breakfast, transfer to Mandalay Airport for a flight to Heho. Upon arrival, proceed to Nyaung Shwe, the main gateway to Inle Lake (30 km - 1 hour). Stop on the way to visit to the Shwe Yan Pyae Monastery which is 200 years old wooden monastery.
At the afternoon excursion on the lake by private long-tail boat will include the weaving village of Inn Pawkhone and a cheroot rolling workshop as well as the famous Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. You will also see floating gardens, leg rowers, local fishing methods and village life of Inle Lake. Visit will conclude with a 150 years old wooden monastery, Nga Phae Chaung Monastery filled with beautiful Buddha images in various styles. This place was famous as jumping cats Monastery, nowadays you may see the cats jumping occasionally only.

Over night at Inle Lake.

Day 12. Inle Lake – Sanghar

After breakfast at the hotel, starts your private long-tail boat trip to Sanghar village (preferably guests should stay at Golden Island Cottages - from there it is (30 km - 2 hours per way from Golden Island Cottages)).
Sanghar was in the 18th century one of the larger cities in Shan State (30 km - 2 hours per way). The highlights of this site are the remote village, stupas that sometimes get flooded in the rainy season and water lilies growing in mass. Have lunch at Thar Kaung village and visit a basic local rice liquor distillery and return to your hotel. The trip leads you through very interesting landscape, the lake becomes a creek to widen to a lake again before Sanghar.
An additional, mandatory Pa-O guide will accompany you in addition to your tour guide.

Over night at Inle Lake.

Day 13. Inle Lake - Yangon

Wake up early this morning to see the fishermen working on the lake. Then visit the lake’s morning market. The market rotates its location around the lake’s villages in a 5 day rhythm and is visited by lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to sell and trade their wares. (Note: market is daily except on dark moon day and full moon day). Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After today’s tour, drive to the Heho Airport for the flight to Yangon and upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Today we will provide farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 14. Yangon Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your international flight.
